A partner in the law firm of McMaster, McIntyre & Smyth, LLP, Dorinda's areas of practice are in real estate, wills and estates and corporate commercial law. Dorinda graduated from the University of Toronto in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in psychology. Prior to attending Law School at the University of Windsor, she completed a year of Child Assessment and Counselling at the Institute of Child Study in Toronto. Dorinda obtained her law degree in 1987 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989. Throughout her career, Dorinda has made considerable contributions to the Chinese Canadian Community and has served as a director on various boards, which include the building of the Chinese Cultural Centre, the founding of the Chinese Chapter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the building and initial management of Coral Place, a very successful 108 unit non-profit housing project in Mississauga. Dorinda strongly believes in maintaining a work-life balance and when not practising law, can be found in the gym with her kettle bells, TRX training, spinning, dragonboat racing, relaxing with yoga, skiing, or enjoying the theatre scene in Toronto.
Dorinda joined McMaster, McIntyre & Smyth, LLP, early in her career, and certainly enjoys the tradition of continuing to provide accessible legal services to the surrounding community, just as the firm has done for well over 100 years.
